Questions

Before your first visit

Do I need a referral?

Often not. Some health plans ask for one, and a note from your doctor or physical therapist helps your providers work together. Ask your plan before you book.

Can I see an acupuncturist and a physical therapist on the same day?

Yes, many people do. Ask the front desk to book them back to back, on different floors.

Do my providers share my information?

Only with your written permission, and only what you agree to. You can change your mind at any time.

Does acupuncture hurt?

Most people feel a brief pinch, a dull ache or warmth at some points, and many feel very little. The needles are thin and single-use. Tell your acupuncturist if anything is uncomfortable and they adjust.

How do fees and insurance work?

Each provider bills the plans they are in network with, and we check your benefits before your first visit. The how fees work page explains the rest, and we give you an estimate in writing.

Which floor do I go to?

Physical therapy, chiropractic and occupational therapy are on the first floor. Acupuncture is on the second floor, and massage therapists work on both. Your confirmation says where to check in.
